I’m a business growth strategist working with founders who have a product business and a desire to succeed - it’s simple.

Running your business doesn’t need to be super complicated - it’s about understanding what makes it tick and getting solid foundations in place to scale.

About me…

I’m Sarah Mathias, a corporate dropout and ex retail buyer with over 12 years experience working with huge brands, developing product with Far East factories and managing departments driving millions in revenue. I’ve also previously had my own product business so I’ve been in your shoes before and I know exactly how hard it can be.

I left my corporate career behind back in 2017 after having my second child and finally following my dream of being self employed. Working for someone else just wasn’t going to cut it, both family wise but also personally - I always wanted so much more.

I’ve spent a lot over the years investing in my own learning, and this combined with my knowledge from my corporate buying life is what I aim to pass onto you. I LOVE learning something new and I love arming you with the knowledge you need to grow your business, it genuinely makes me happy.

I will take you in as a student and a friend and teach you everything I have learnt. My aim when I set up This is Growth was always to keep it affordable and not exclusive to those turning over huge profits and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

  • I’m exactly where I want to be. If I want something I make it happen so I would never be sat there wishing, I’d be making it happen.

  • I’m a self confessed bore. I’m happiest when at home with my family or learning something new. I’m naturally an introvert and don’t like surprises. It’s also very rare I have spare time. Between my family and work it’s full on but I LOVE it that way.

  • I live in the countryside in Lancashire but I’m from Liverpool (the best city ever).

  • Be consistent, it’s a numbers game and it will pay off, it’s just a case of when.

  • I always wanted to be a detective because I used to read the murder section in the newspaper magazine each weekend. Thinking back I was like 6 and way too young for that content but luckily I turned out ok.

  • I would tell myself to be braver but also to just keep going.

  • Success to me means reaching my own personal goals and having freedom in my life always.

  • HOME - without a doubt it’s at home. I’m a really simple person and love, humour and health are the only things I wish for. Cliched I know but totally true.
